Foundation Solidarni

Origins & Aims

Founded by a group of Poles working in London's financial community, Foundation Solidarni promotes integration, solidarity and civic duty amongst the Polish diaspora in the United Kingdom. It also aims to raise common knowledge about Poland.

Via a number of cultural and social initiatives as well as fundraising events, the Foundation provides a platform to help Polish migrants who have found themselves in a difficult situation.  The Foundation’s foremost aim is to serve as an intermediary between financial sponsors and ‘on the ground’ organisations to provide assistance to needing Poles in the United Kingdom, and in the Greater London area in particular. In addition, the Foundation brings to public light situations where Poles have been a victim of fraudulent behaviour.

Initiatives

The Foundation actively seeks to attain its goals via the following initiatives:

1) Direct Fundraising
To raise funds from sponsors to spend on concrete charity projects to help those in need;

2) Free Services Giveaway
To identify and assist individuals who are willing to provide their services/advice free of charge to those in need;

3) Promotional & Social Events
To organise meetings, debates and social events with the participation of key opinion leaders to raise awareness on issues related to Polish affairs;

4) Cultural & Sports Events
To organise cultural and sports events in order to contribute to the integration of the Polish community in London, in particular through the management of a Football League based around the London area.
